MovoPhoto was preparing the worldwide launch of a podcast hardware kit and needed a companion app to match it — one that makes recording a multi-person, multi-camera podcast as simple as pressing a single button, even for creators with no technical background.
One phone acts as the host, connecting the others over local Wi-Fi and controlling the entire session. Each device captures its own high-quality copy, so nothing is ever lost, and everything stays aligned from the first second to the last. What normally takes a studio and a sound engineer now fits in a bag.
Prove the hardest parts first.
Rather than building everything at once and hoping it worked on launch day, Kreante took a step-by-step approach: prove the riskiest technical pieces first with a focused proof of concept, then ship a stable, usable app at every stage.
This de-risked the project early and kept MovoPhoto involved throughout — each milestone was something they could see, test, and approve before moving on.

Results & Impacts
Early proof of concept passed 7 of 8 goals and got a green light to continue; recorded a full hour without crashing; audio and video stayed in sync throughout long sessions; the multi-phone version was validated on real devices, passing 10 of 11 goals; the client approved each stage and gave the go-ahead to keep building.
The engine captures studio-quality audio from the interface alongside video, with built-in safeguards so recordings stay intact even if the app closes unexpectedly or the battery dies mid-session.
A single host phone connects nearby iPhones over Wi-Fi with a simple QR or session code, then controls recording across all of them at once — while each phone keeps its own high-quality copy, so nothing is ever lost.
Automatic syncing with a simple manual backup, overheating warnings, and safe handling of dropped connections or unplugged hardware mean a session keeps going — and the footage stays usable — no matter what.
